SARGODHA, Oct 27 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) District General Secretary, Member of Provincial Assembly, and Chairman of the Zakat and Ushr Council Punjab, Rana Munawar Ghous Khan, stated that Sargodha’s 76-year history has never witnessed the level of development currently underway under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Addressing a workers’ meeting at the Umar Park office on Monday, Rana Ghous Khan emphasized that the Chief Minister had gifted the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology, which is nearing completion and was expected to benefit not only the residents of Sargodha but also those in surrounding districts. He also highlighted the establishment of the Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA), which was a significant step towards improving the city’s civic infrastructure and ensuring the availability of basic public amenities.
The Chief Minister has also approved the introduction of 48 electric buses for Sargodha, with plans to expand the service to multiple routes, he added. Rana Ghous Khan further noted that three of the city’s main markets were being revamped into modern model bazaars, and additional funds had been allocated for various developmental projects aimed at beautifying and enhancing the city’s infrastructure.
The PML-N leader shared that funds had been earmarked for several initiatives across all constituencies to ensure the availability of basic amenities for the public. “By the end of this fiscal year, Sargodha will emerge as a model district,” he remarked.
Rana Munawar Ghous Khan, who is also the Provincial Chairman of the Zakat and Ushr Council, highlighted that Maryam Nawaz’s commitment to Sargodha was evident from her first official visit as Chief Minister, during which she laid the foundation stone of the cardiology institute. “Her consistent attention and efforts reflect her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Sargodha’s citizens,” he added.
