RAWALPINDI, October 27 (APP):The Rawalpindi district administration on Monday organized a solidarity walk from the District Council Office to the Commissioner’s Office to express unwavering support for the Kashmiri people and condemn India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir in observance of Kashmir Black Day.
Assistant Commissioner (Cantonment) Saad ur Rehman, Tehsildars, district officials, students, and a large number of citizens participated in the rally. Participants carried placards and banners inscribed with slogans expressing solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and denouncing the ongoing Indian atrocities.

Speaking on the occasion, AC Saad ur Rehman said the walk will draw the attention of the international community toward the grave human rights violations taking place in the occupied territory.
He emphasized that October 27, 1947, marks the day when India forcibly and illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir – a blatant violation of United Nations resolutions.
He further said the Kashmiri people have rendered unparalleled sacrifices in their struggle for freedom and self-determination. “Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people at every international forum,” he reiterated.
The observance of Kashmir Black Day, he added, symbolizes Pakistan’s firm commitment to the right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people and its solidarity with their ongoing struggle for justice and freedom.
The event concluded with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and lasting peace in the region.
