SARGODHA, Oct 27 (APP):Like many other parts of the country, Black Day was observed across Sargodha Division on Monday to condemn India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people.
A central rally was held at the Sargodha Arts Council, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Majid Bin Ahmad and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rana Muhammad Abubakar. The rally culminated at GPO Chowk, where participants, waving Pakistani and Kashmiri flags, chanted slogans in support of Kashmir’s freedom.
Addressing the gathering, Majid Bin Ahmad stated that October 27 marks one of the darkest days in history, when India forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “For the past 78 years, the Kashmiri people have made unparalleled sacrifices for their legitimate right to freedom and self-determination,” he said.
Rana Muhammad Abubakar added, “The people and government of Pakistan stand firmly with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their quest for freedom.” He also reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government remains committed to supporting the Kashmiri cause.
The ADC (General) further emphasized that the purpose of the rallies, speeches, and awareness events on Black Day was to educate the younger generation about the reality of Kashmir and the ongoing struggle for independence.
The rally concluded with participants waving Pakistani and Kashmiri flags and observing a one-minute silence in honor of the martyrs of Kashmir’s freedom movement.
