ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, on the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, implemented comprehensive security arrangements at churches across the federal capital to ensure the safety of the Christian community during worship.
An official told APP on Sunday that officers and personnel remained on high alert outside all major churches, where security was reinforced through walk-through gates, CCTV surveillance, and strict checking at entry and exit points.
SSP Operations said that detailed instructions had been issued to all police stations to reassess the security of worship places in their respective areas and maintain foolproof arrangements.
Senior officers also visited various churches to review the deployments and directed personnel to ensure a peaceful environment for families. Female police officers were part of the teams to assist in maintaining order and security.
The SSP Operations reiterated that the protection of life and property of all minority communities remains a top priority for Islamabad Police, adding that the force is fully prepared to deal with any untoward incident.
