PESHAWAR, Oct 26 (APP): A meeting between Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and overseas Pakistani leader Chaudhry Imtiaz Akia, a renowned businessman based in Spain, was held at the Governor’s House Peshawar on Sunday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed in detail the issues, facilities and investment opportunities for Pakistanis living abroad.

Governor Kundi said that the government is taking comprehensive measures to improve services for overseas Pakistanis and that efforts are being accelerated at both federal and provincial levels to implement welfare-oriented policies.

Chaudhry Imtiaz Akia appreciated Pakistan’s recent diplomatic initiatives, saying they have enhanced the country’s global image and strengthened the confidence of overseas Pakistanis.

He said that Governor Kundi’s visits to Spain and Belgium in August rekindled patriotic sentiments among the overseas community and encouraged them to invest in Pakistan.

Akia also briefed the Governor on ongoing welfare projects initiated by charitable organizations from Spain and Belgium to support flood-affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Both reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in investment, social welfare, and engagement with the overseas Pakistani community.
