RAWALPINDI, Oct 26 (APP):Like other parts of the country, Kashmir Black Day will be observed in Rawalpindi tomorrow (Monday) with great spirit and solidarity for the Kashmiri people.
A number of rallies, seminars, and special events have been planned across the city to mark the day. Leaders from political, social, and religious organizations, along with students, civil society members, and citizens will participate in large numbers.
To express unity with the people of Kashmir, banners, posters, and flexes carrying slogans against Indian atrocities have been displayed in various parts of the city.
The district administration and law enforcement agencies have finalized foolproof security arrangements to ensure peace during the events.
It is worth mentioning that on October 27, 1947, Indian forces illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, Kashmiris observe this day every year as Black Day to draw the attention of the international community towards India’s oppression and their struggle for the right to self-determination.
