MULTAN, Oct 25 (APP):The government has released Rs. 10 billion for construction of a 90-kilometre-long Vehari Road, marking a major step forward in regional infrastructure development.
Commissioner Amir Karim, in a statement issued on Saturday, said that the project was progressing at a rapid pace and is expected to be completed by December 2026. He lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Punjab government for prioritising the scheme and ensuring timely provision of funds.
Calling it a milestone initiative, the Commissioner said the project would provide a modern and efficient travel system. Such large-scale infrastructure development projects are rare elsewhere in the province, he added.
