Pakistan volleyball team outplays Saudi Arabia in Asian Youth Games 2025

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP): The Pakistan volleyball team continued its winning momentum by defeating Saudi Arabia in the Top 8 Classification Round of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, currently being at Bahrain.

Pakistan showcased exceptional teamwork and determination, securing victory by 3-1 with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 23-25, and 26-24, said a press release.

The match was an intense contest, as both teams fought hard, but Pakistan’s consistent attacking and resilient defense ensured a well-deserved triumph.

Among the standout performers of the day were Libero Khizar Hayat, Muhammad Yahya, and Muhammad Anas, who displayed remarkable skill and control throughout the game, helping Pakistan maintain its dominance in key moments.

With this win, Pakistan has officially qualified for the quarterfinals of the championship. The team now leads Pool
E and will face the 4th-ranked team from Pool F on October 26 at 1:30 PM (Pakistan Time) in the quarterfinal match.

Speaking on the team’s continued success, Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Chairman, Pakistan Volleyball Federation, congratulated the players and coaching staff, saying, “The team has shown great consistency and fighting spirit throughout this tournament. Their dedication and discipline are commendable, we are confident they will continue to make the nation proud in the quarterfinals.”

The team is being managed by Naseer Ahmed (Team Manager) and coached by Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady (Head Coach), who have played a key role in guiding and motivating the players throughout the event.
