CHINIOT, Oct 24 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has intensified its crackdown on businesses selling unhealthy food in Chiniot. In this regard on Friday, food safety teams, led by Deputy Director Operations Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza, inspected 113 food points, including 55 milk trucks, and issued reform notices to several establishments for improvement.
Fines totaling Rs 83,000 were imposed for serious law violations. The PFA also took action against a supplier distributing unhealthy meat in Aminpur, destroying over 30 kg of it.
Additionally, broken rotten eggs and 20 liters of adulterated milk were destroyed during the inspection.
On this occasion, Dr. Raza while exclusively talking to APP, emphasized the PFA’s commitment to ensuring food safety, protecting public health, and holding accountable those involved in unhealthy food practices.
