RAWALPINDI, Oct 24 (APP): Aligned with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to empower and build confidence in women, the Pink Mobile Vans initiative has been offering licensing services to both urban and rural areas across Rawalpindi District.

“This initiative has been warmly appreciated by women, who have expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for this transformative step,” said a City Traffic Police Rawalpindi spokesman on Friday.

Women who utilised the services of the Pink Mobile Vans to obtain their driving licenses lauded the initiative, commending the chief minister’s efforts to empower women and make them feel more self-reliant.

The spokesman added that, under the special instructions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam, the Pink Mobile Police Station and Licensing Vans were actively providing driving license services in various regions of the district.

“These mobile units are offering vital services to women in both urban and rural areas, making it easier for them to obtain driving licenses and report harassment-related incidents,” the spokesman further stated.

Meanwhile, CTO Farhan Aslam highlighted that the Pink Mobile Police Stations and Licensing Vans not only provided essential licensing services but also offered women a safe space to report harassment.

“The Punjab Police is resolute in its commitment to the rights and protection of women. When women are empowered and self-sufficient, society will undoubtedly witness a significant and positive transformation,” he concluded.
