QUETTA, Oct 24 (APP):The Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan has issued a public appeal urging citizens, potential candidates, and voters in Quetta to promptly verify and update their voter registration details.
The announcement comes as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) intensifies preparations for the upcoming local body elections in Quetta District, in compliance with directives from the Balochistan High Court.
The ECP has called on all stakeholders to check their registration status in the electoral rolls and confirm their affiliation with the correct ward. Citizens requiring voter registration, transfer, deletion, or correction of details are advised to contact the District Election Commissioner, Quetta, without delay.
The Commission emphasized the urgency of the process, stating that the election schedule will be announced immediately after the completion of electoral roll preparations. Once the program is issued, no further changes will be allowed under Section 39 of the Elections Act, 2017.
This appeal serves as a final opportunity for Quetta residents to ensure their voter information is accurate and up to date before the election process officially begins.
