FJWU inks MoU with Change Mechanics and APWUC to drive women-led innovation

RAWALPINDI, Oct 24 (APP):Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Change Mechanics Pvt. Ltd. and the All Pakistan Women Universities Consortium (APWUC) to promote women-led innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth in Pakistan.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (Pride of Performance, T.I.), Vice Chancellor FJWU and Chairperson APWUC, and Sayyed Ahmad Masud, Director Change Mechanics Pvt. Ltd. The collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation across women’s universities in Pakistan.
Under this partnership, the institutions will work together to enhance business incubation centers, provide mentorship and specialized training programs for aspiring women entrepreneurs, and promote research and innovation within APWUC member universities.
Key initiatives include the establishment of Entrepreneurship Clubs, organization of hackathons, startup idea competitions, and capacity-building workshops for students and faculty.
Additionally, the agreement outlines plans to create internship and employment opportunities for FJWU students and graduates, ensuring stronger industry-academia linkages and practical exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza emphasized the importance of collaboration in creating sustainable opportunities for women in business and innovation. She noted that such partnerships will help build a dynamic platform for women to contribute effectively to Pakistan’s economic and social development.
This partnership reflects a shared vision of empowering young women through entrepreneurial education, innovation-driven learning, and industry engagement, fostering a robust ecosystem for women-led innovation and sustainable growth in Pakistan.
