LAHORE, Oct 24 (APP):The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Organisation, arranged awareness walk and seminar on breast cancer with the theme of “Together We Can Defeat Breast Cancer” here on Friday in City Campus.
Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani led the walk while CEO of Pink Ribbon Pakistan Dr Omar Aftab, Dr Jawaria Ali Khan, Medical Officer Dr Shamsa Rauf Rao and number of students & faculty members were participated.
Later in the seminar speakers spoke about objectives of breast cancer campaign, role of diet & lifestyle in woman with breast cancer, prevention, management, diagnosis and treatment of the breast cancer.
The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among the students, faculty members and general population especially woman who are prone to this virulent disease and also convey information to public regarding diagnostics method & treatment techniques, highlight the importance of early diagnosis and management of the patient etc.
