ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engr Amir Muqam, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kashmiri nation on the occasion of the 78th Founding Day.
The minister paid rich tribute to the founding leaders of the Kashmiri nation and lauded their historic struggle for freedom and self-determination, said a press release.
Muqam also paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the liberation of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). He acknowledged the brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their unwavering support to the Kashmiris during the freedom struggle. “The people of Pakistan and Kashmir are bound together as one soul in two bodies,” he said.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to extend its political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for self-determination.
Muqam strongly condemned India’s brutal and illegal occupation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and denounced the grave human rights violations being committed by the Indian forces in the region.
The minister paid glowing tribute to the great martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement and demanded the immediate release of detained Hurriyat leaders.
“Pakistan is vigorously presenting the case of the Kashmiri people at every international forum,” he emphasized, reiterating that the struggle will continue until the Kashmiri people achieve complete freedom from India’s unlawful occupation.
Muqam further said that the federal government will continue to extend full support for the development, progress, and welfare of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
