RAWALPINDI, Oct 23 (APP):The New Town Police conducted raids against kite suppliers and arrested three persons, recovering 63 kites, 21 spools of string, and bags used for storage.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesman on Thursday, separate cases have been registered against the detainees under the relevant laws, and further investigations are underway.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Saad Arshad said that kite flying had been declared a non-bailable offence, and those involved in such a dangerous pastime would not escape the clutches of the law.
He said that the police were determined to eliminate the deadly sport and ensure the safety of citizens.
