Peace committee seeks action against hate mongers

MULTAN, Oct 23 (APP):A District Peace Committee meeting attended by Ulema from different schools of thought with deputy commissioner Waseem Hamid Sindhu and CPO Sadiq Ali Dogar in the chair here Thursday voiced unanimous concerns over the elements creating law and order situation by spreading hate in the name of religion and demanded strict action against such elements.
The meeting discussed in detail the suggestions to discourage elements fanning sectarianism, exploiting difference of opinion on sectarian or religious grounds to harm peace and stressed that hate mongers should face strict legal action.
Ulema from all schools of thought expressed resolve to work jointly to promote brotherhood, unity and tolerance in society. Deputy commissioner heaped praise on ulema for demonstrating unity against sectarianism and hate speech and said that they have demonstrated commitment to stand united against anti-Pakistan elements.
Citizens and Ulema of Multan have always promoted and encouraged tolerance and brotherhood.
CPO Sadiq Ali Dogar said that the administration and police were standing like a rock wall against the enemies of peace. He said, police have decided to keep a strict vigil at elements spreading hate and to take legal action against them.
