ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):The Pakistan volleyball team has qualified for the semifinals of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, in Bahrain, after a commanding 3-0 victory over Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals.
The young Pakistani squad delivered a powerful and disciplined performance, winning the sets by 25-13, 25-20, and 25-18 at the Isa Bin Rashid Sports City, said a press release.
Pakistan’s impressive teamwork and strategic play overwhelmed the Uzbek side, marking another milestone in the country’s growing youth volleyball legacy.
Outstanding performances came from Muhammad Yahya, Muhammad Anas, Muhtad Ali Shah, and Khizar Hayat, who led the team with remarkable energy, attacking precision, and defensive stability. Their synergy and confidence were instrumental in Pakistan’s straight-set win.
Following this victory, Pakistan has now qualified for the semifinals, showcasing their strength among Asia’s top youth volleyball teams. However, before the semifinal round, Pakistan will play a classification match against Saudi Arabia on October 24 as part of the tournament’s structured phase leading to the medal round.
Chairman, Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, congratulated team Pakistan, saying the team has come back to its rhythm and played with perfect combination. “Well done boys — we are proud of you.”
Under the leadership of Head Coach Saeed Ahmed Khan and Team Manager Naseer Ahmed, the Pakistan Youth Team has displayed consistency, skill, and remarkable improvement throughout the competition.
