ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Pakistan Navy on conducting a highly successful anti-narcotics operation, praising the force’s professionalism and dedication in safeguarding the nation’s maritime borders.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Minister Naqvi said the Pakistan Navy demonstrated exceptional professional capability by seizing a large consignment of narcotics, preventing it from reaching international markets.
“The Pakistan Navy has once again proven its operational excellence by intercepting and seizing a major drug shipment. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Naval Chief and the crew of PNS Yarmouk for this outstanding achievement,” Mohsin Naqvi said.
He added that the nation is proud of the Navy’s brave personnel, who continue to play a crucial role in the fight against drug trafficking and other illicit activities at sea.
“The courage and commitment of Pakistan Navy’s officers and sailors in protecting our waters and combating narcotics smuggling is truly commendable,” the Interior Minister remarked.
Naqvi emphasized that the anti-narcotics operation reflects Pakistan’s firm resolve to eliminate the menace of drugs and maintain strict vigilance along its maritime frontiers.
He described the Navy’s achievement as a “moment of pride for the entire nation”, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fully support all institutions working for a drug-free Pakistan.
