Pakistan, Egypt to strengthen educational cooperation: Wajiha Qamar

ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training,  Wajiha Qamar, met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Ihab Abdel Hamid, here on Thursday.
During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of education, particularly focusing on student exchange programmes, academic collaboration, and institutional linkages between Pakistan and Egypt.
Wajiha Qamar emphasized the government’s commitment to expanding international educational partnerships to enhance learning opportunities and cultural understanding for Pakistani students.
 She appreciated Egypt’s longstanding academic ties with Pakistan and expressed interest in exploring new areas of collaboration in higher education and technical training.
Ambassador Dr. Ihab Abdel Hamid reaffirmed Egypt’s willingness to work closely with Pakistan in promoting educational exchange and mutual learning initiatives.
Both sides agreed to continue dialogue for developing a structured framework to facilitate student mobility, scholarship opportunities, and joint research programmes between universities of the two countries.
