GUJRAT, Oct 23 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams during continued operations against sellers of substandard and adulterated food, sealed three milk sellers businesses as well as held the owners.
According to a PFA spokesperson, during inspections at various locations, three milk sellers were booked and arrested on the spot for selling adulterated milk, while their businesses were sealed immediately.
The teams also collected three suspicious food samples for laboratory analysis.
In separate actions, fines amounting to Rs130,000 were imposed on several roadside hotels, bakeries, and catering units over poor hygiene conditions, preparation of low-quality food, and violations of food safety regulations.
The spokesperson said that a zero-tolerance policy was being implemented against the adulteration mafia.
