FAISALABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir has directed the officials of district administration to activate all water filtration plants besides accelerating ongoing urban beautification projects across the district and ensuring beautification of model cart markets.
Chairing a meeting at DC Complex, he said that all model cart markets should be arranged in an orderly and visually appealing manner to improve their overall impact and facilitate the citizens. He directed that such model markets should be set up at the sites previously used for Ramazan Bazaars. The vending areas should match the standard of formal markets in cleanliness, structure and management, he added.
He also highlighted public health priorities and ordered that all filtration plants in the district must remain fully functional at all times. He instructed weekly monitoring of these facilities to ensure uninterrupted clean water supply to the public.
He also directed regular inspections of Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospitals to maintain medical emergency services and enhance responsiveness.
He instructed the Agriculture department to ensure uninterrupted supply of fertilizers and seeds during wheat cultivation season and said that zero tolerance policy should be adopted against overpricing of agricultural inputs.
He urged the officers of district administration to expedite progress of urban beautification and regional development projects. These initiatives would reflect Punjab Chief Minister’s vision for a cleaner, more organized and citizen-friendly province, he added.
