QUETTA, Oct 22 (APP):Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Wednesday assured the delegation that a qualified woman to be appointed on female vacant post of province ombudsman after resolving this issue.
He said that from the beginning, I have been a strong supporter of women’s rights and empowerment on both individual and political fronts.
He expressed these views while talking to UN Women Country Representatives Jamshed Qazi and Ayesha Wadood at Governor House Quetta.
The Governor said that I firmly believe that no nation could scale new heights of development without providing women with equal opportunities and facilities as their male counterparts.
Just as Allah Almighty has created all living beings in pairs to complement and support each other, similarly, only through joint efforts and mutual respect can we ensure sustainable development and progress together, he said.
The Governor said that it is also a matter of pride that women have a respectable place in our glorious national values and traditions.
He said that the women of Balochistan are no less capable than anyone else, so it is important that they are provided with the necessary facilities.
The delegation drew the attention of the Governor of Balochistan to an important issue, saying that the post of female ombudsman has been vacant in the province for a long time, to which the Governor of Balochistan assured that this issue would be resolved soon and a qualified woman to be appointed.
