ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):A delegation of senior Jordanian police officers visited Safe City Islamabad, lauding the project’s advanced technology and coordination system.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the delegation was hosted by Director General Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya and SSP Safe City Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. They were briefed on the Command and Control Center, Police Operations Center Hall, and modern surveillance systems, including facial recognition cameras installed at city entry and exit points.
The visitors were informed that Safe City Islamabad plays a vital role in crime prevention, urban security, and public safety through its integrated units — the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, and the “Pukar-15” helpline.
The delegation appreciated the technological advancement and operational structure of Islamabad Police, commending how the system contributes to maintaining law and order and ensuring citizens’ safety. They thanked DG Safe City and his team for their hospitality and termed the visit an excellent step toward strengthening professional cooperation between the police forces of Jordan and Pakistan.
