ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Top seed Mikaeel Ali Baig of Pakistan moved into the semifinals of the ITF Pakistan International J-30 Junior Tennis Championships-2025 leg-1, here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Wednesday.
Mikaeel beat Ganuka Fernando of Sri Lanka 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. A large number of junior tennis players from across the globe are participating in this prestigious tournament. Countries represented include China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the host nation, Pakistan.
Boys Singles quarterfinals: Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK) beat Ganuka Fernando 6-1, 6-2; Ippei Matsushima (JPN) bt Abdul Basit (PAK) 6-2, 6-0; Timur Gordeev (RUS) bt Amir Mazari(PAK) 6-2,6-2; Kristijonas Milassauskas(LTU) bt Ahtesham Humayun (PAK) 6-2,6-3.
Gilrs Singles Pre-Quarterfinals: Ecrin Lal Yavuz (TUR) bt Romisa Malik (PAK) 6-1,6-0; Deniz Cakil (TUR) bt Naimah Grant (GBR) 7-5,6-2; Serife Pelin Sari(TUR) bt Fatima Ali Raja 6-0,6-0; Mingxi Qu (CHN) bt Zainab Ali Raja (PAK) 6-0,6-0.
