CHINIOT, Oct 22 (APP):A police team gathered on Wednesday to remember Junior Traffic Warden Zafar Abbas, who gave his life serving Chiniot Police exactly one year ago.
According to the sources of Chiniot police, officers, led by DSP Shoaib Khan and SHO Saddar Police Station, visited his grave, laying flowers and petals in respect. Family members joined them, and everyone prayed for Zafar’s soul to rest in peace. His sacrifice, while doing his job, is something Chiniot Police are proud of, said officials.
Speaking at the ceremony, District Police Officer Abdullah Ahmed called Zafar’s death a proud moment for the police force. “He died doing his duty β that’s what makes us proud,” Ahmed said. The police are taking care of Zafar’s family, he added. DSP City gave gifts to the family from Chiniot Police, showing their appreciation and support.
“We are the keepers of our martyrs’ memory,” DPO Ahmed said, meaning the police will never forget Zafar and others like him. Chiniot Police are working hard to help the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
