Karate and Archery Academy established in Khanewal

KHANEWAL Oct 22 (APP):In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to promote sports across the province, a Karate and Archery Academy has been established in Khanewal — a step hailed as a positive move toward youth development and healthy recreational activities.
The inauguration ceremony of the academy was held at the Railway Ground Khanewal under the supervision of instructor Rana Ejaz, a Black Belt martial artist. Speaking to the media after the event, District Sports Officer Muhammad Hafeez lauded the initiative, terming it a milestone for the district in nurturing young talent.
He commended Rana Ejaz for his dedication and efforts, noting that within a short span of 20 days, the academy had successfully trained young boys and girls who demonstrated impressive skills in karate during the display session. Spectators appreciated the participants’ performance with loud applause.
The event also marked the formal launch of the Archery Academy, led by trainers Samar Riaz and Haseeb Ejaz, where children actively participated and showed great enthusiasm for the sport.
The ceremony was attended by senior journalists Anjum Bashir Ahmed, Qulzam Bashir Ahmed, Asad Jawad Rana (Provincial Table Tennis Coach), Malik Hassan Masna Awan, Anbar Bashir Ahmed, Abid Hussain Bhatti, Engineer Abdul Rehman, senior table tennis player Javed Malik, Abdullah Sheikh, Hafiz Habib Ahmed, and Muhammad Burhan.
District Sports Officer Muhammad Hafeez expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to expand under the government’s sports promotion vision, providing young athletes with opportunities to excel at provincial and national levels.
