ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Islamabad, reaffirming both nations’ shared commitment to empowering youth through education, innovation, and cultural exchange.
The high-level meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and advancing the implementation of the landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier this year between the two countries.
Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan noted that Azerbaijan was the first nation with which the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme signed an MoU,a historic step witnessed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif himself.
He stated that this partnership represents a new era of collaboration focused on practical actions and mutual progress.
“We are proud of this strategic alliance between the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan,” said Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan. “Now, it’s time to translate our shared vision into concrete steps that deliver real opportunities for young people in both countries.”
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan expressed appreciation for the growing partnership, emphasizing that the youth of both nations must learn more about their longstanding friendship and cooperation.
“We are pleased that our ministries are connected under a common purpose of strengthening the bond between our nations through the energy and potential of youth,” he remarked.
He further highlighted the importance of expanding joint youth programs, educational initiatives, and cultural exchange platforms that foster leadership and innovation among the next generation. “Our collaboration should continue to create new avenues for young people to learn, connect, and build the future together,” he added.
