ATTOCK, Oct 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner, Rao Atif Raza has distributed 25 wheelchairs among deserving and differently abled persons during a ceremony held at the Social Welfare Office of Government Asfandyar Bukhari Hospital.
The ceremony was attended by PML-N ticket holder Malik Hameed Akbar Khan, Medical Superintendent Dr. Jawad Elahi, Social Welfare Officer Haseeb Khalid, Medical Social Welfare Officer Muhammad Zubair, Manager Sanatzar Arif Mahmood Siddiqui, and other concerned officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that under the directives of the Government of Punjab, practical steps were being taken for the welfare and rehabilitation of deserving and disabled persons, so they could live a dignified life.
He further said that the district administration, in collaboration with social welfare institutions, was promoting such initiatives that aimed to facilitate and empower the underprivileged segments of the society.
