Providing a brief overview of the project, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Munir explained that the Anti-Smog Gun has a 40-meter effective range and is designed to reduce dust and air pollution. The advanced dust suppression system will be particularly useful at construction sites, stone-crushing plants, and mining operations, where airborne particles are a major concern. The system works by dispersing fine water droplets that bind with dust particles, causing them to settle and thereby improving air quality.

He remarked that this invention represents a practical step toward reducing environmental pollution, and pledged that his ministry would continue to promote academia-industry linkages and financially support UET in its innovative endeavors.
