SARGODHA, Oct 21 (APP): Commissioner Sargodha Division Jahanzeb Awan on Tuesday chaired a weekly review meeting to assess the performance of various departments.
According to the spokesperson,Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Waseem, PHA DG Muhammad Arshad, Municipal Corporation CEO Majid Bin Aziz, SWMC CO Rana Shahid Imran, WASA MD AbuBakkar Umer, Director Development Bilal Hassan and others were present.
The meeting reviewed the progress made in implementing directives and instructions.
During the meeting, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) reported that 14 milk samples were taken from Dairy road, out of which seven were found to be substandard. Heavy fines and warning notices were issued to the violators.
The Commissioner directed the Forest Department and PHA to accelerate tree plantation in the city.
The Secretary RTA briefed the meeting on the proposed electric bus stops in the city.
The Commissioner took serious notice of damage to electric buses and directed the Secretary RTA to identify those responsible and take immediate action.
The Commissioner directed the Municipal Corporation and Highway Department to complete the beautification work on major roads.
The CEO Sargodha Waste Management Company (SWMC) reported that the second shift has been started to improve the sanitation system in the city.
The meeting reviewed the progress made in removing encroachments and cattle sheds from the city.
The Commissioner directed that street vendors be managed in a way that balances traffic and business activities in the city.
