HYDERABAD, Oct 20 (APP):The Hyderabad police detained 55 suspected illegal Afghan immigrants during the combing exercise in Pathan Goth, Shafi Brohi Goth, Akbar Brohi Goth and Phuleli canal colony here on Monday.
However, the police spokesman informed that 52 of the suspects were later released after the verification while 3 were kept in the police custody for further verifications.
The spokesman added that the Hyderabad police had so far deported 4 Afghan nationals.
According to him, the combing operation was being carried out on a daily basis in the neighbourhoods where immigrants were known to have lived.
