According to NEOC, the fourth nationwide polio eradication campaign of 2025 has successfully concluded across the country.
Expressing gratitude, the NEOC thanked parents, civil administration, law enforcement agencies, and especially the frontline polio workers and security personnel, calling them the true heroes of the nation for their dedication and service.
The NEOC said that 23.1 million children were vaccinated in Punjab, 10.5 million in Sindh, 6.18 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2.6 million in Balochistan, 479,000 in Islamabad, around 294,000 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and over 733,000 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, bringing the total to more than 43.9 million children nationwide.
The NEOC reaffirmed that protecting the nation’s future from polio is a shared national responsibility. It urged parents to welcome vaccination teams and ensure that all children under the age of five receive polio drops.
Meanwhile, a new national polio campaign has commenced in South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where parents are being encouraged to cooperate fully with vaccination teams.
