TikTok deletes over 25 mln videos in Pakistan for violating community guidelines

ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): TikTok removed a total of 25,448,992 videos in Pakistan during the second quarter of 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines.
According to the TikTok Q2 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, 99.7% of these videos were removed proactively, with 96.2% taken down within 24 hours of posting.
The report highlights TikTok’s continued commitment to maintaining a safe and positive digital environment for its users.
Covering data from April to June 2025, the report outlines TikTok’s proactive measures to identify and remove content that breaches its guidelines, ensuring a secure and inclusive experience for its global community.
Globally, TikTok removed 189,578,228 videos in Q2 2025—about 0.7% of all uploaded content.
Of these, 163,962,241 videos were detected and taken down using automated technologies, while 7,457,309 videos were reinstated after review.
The proactive removal rate stood at 99.1%, with 94.4% of flagged content removed within 24 hours.
To uphold platform integrity, TikTok also removed 76,991,660 fake accounts and an additional 25,904,708 accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13.
The report revealed that 30.6% of globally removed videos contained sensitive or mature themes inconsistent with TikTok’s policies.
About 14.0% violated safety and civility standards, 6.1% breached privacy and security guidelines, 45.0% were flagged as misinformation, and 23.8% were identified as edited or AI-generated media.
TikTok’s periodic Community Guidelines Enforcement Reports provide detailed insights into content moderation trends and account actions, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to transparency.
