LAHORE, Oct 20 (APP):The provincial capital remained under a blanket of smog on Monday, while the MET Office forecast dry weather for the next 24 hours.
According to MET officials, the continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, with a shallow westerly trough likely to affect northern regions. Dry conditions are expected in most areas, with cold weather in hilly regions during morning and night hours. However, partly cloudy skies with light rain are likely in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. The highest temperatures on Monday were recorded in Mithi, Turbat, and Chhor at 39°C, while Lahore saw a scorching 45°C.
