SIALKOT, Oct 20 (APP):The Punjab government has launched rural road construction and rehabilitation projects worth Rs4.85 billion in Sialkot district as part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s “Sarkain Bahal, Punjab Khushhal Programme.”
The announcement was made during a meeting of the District Coordination Committee Sialkot, chaired by Minister of State for Planning Chaudhry Armaghan Subhani. The session was attended by Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali, Chaudhry Tariq Subhani, Chaudhry Naveed Ashraf, and Rana Abdul Sattar.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the progress and implementation of ongoing development projects across the district. It was highlighted that the road rehabilitation initiative is aimed at improving rural connectivity, facilitating transportation, and boosting local economic and trade activities.
Minister Armaghan Subhani stated that the programme underscores the Punjab government’s commitment to balanced regional development and the provision of quality infrastructure to citizens, particularly in underserved rural areas.
