RAWALPINDI, Oct 20 (APP):The Rawalpindi Regional Police and Sir Syed Convent Higher Secondary School and College Rawalpindi on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide quality educational opportunities to the children of police officers and personnel.
The agreement was signed by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region Babar Sarfraz Alpa and Director Sir Syed Convent Higher Secondary School and College Professor Dr Syed Naveed Hussain. Under the MoU, the children of police martyrs will receive a 100 per cent fee concession, while the children of serving officers and personnel will be given a 50 per cent concession in monthly tuition fees. Children of officials who die during service will also be granted full fee exemption.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Alpa said the initiative would serve as a new ray of hope for the families of police personnel and stand as a model of cooperation between public institutions and educational organisations.
He said the partnership aimed to ensure that the children of police officers have access to a better learning environment, helping them excel in every field.
Professor Dr Syed Naveed Hussain appreciated the collaboration, saying that the school would provide not only quality education but also a safe, research-oriented, and professional atmosphere for students to reach their full potential.
According to the spokesperson for the RPO Rawalpindi Region, the partnership marks an important milestone in the welfare and educational development of police personnel and their families.
