SARGODHA, Oct 20 (APP): Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan conducted a surprise visit to various areas of the city on Monday to inspect sanitation arrangements, according to a press release issued by the Commissioner’s Office.
During the inspection, the Commissioner expressed strong displeasure over the poor sanitation conditions and apparent negligence by those responsible. Taking immediate action, he ordered the termination of five supervisors and one assistant manager for failing to maintain acceptable cleanliness standards.
Additionally, the contractor responsible for sanitation in the area was fined and served a show-cause notice for non-compliance with municipal guidelines.
Commissioner Awan reiterated that there will be no compromise on sanitation standards, emphasizing that ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for citizens is a top priority of the district administration.
He was accompanied during the visit by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Majid Bin Ahmad.
