Effective monitoring ensuring transparency, quality in LDP : DC

LAHORE, Oct 20 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza chaired a review meeting on the progress of Lahore Development Program (LDP) Phases I and II, aimed at ensuring transparency, quality, and timely completion of development projects under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance), Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, all Assistant Commissioners, and senior representatives from NESPAK and WASA. The participants briefed the chair on the progress of ongoing schemes under the LDP.
During the briefing, officials informed that Phase I of the Lahore Development Program is nearing successful completion, while the projects under Phase II are advancing in a positive direction. Continuous and effective monitoring has been ensured to maintain transparency and uphold quality standards across all development initiatives.
Representatives of NESPAK and WASA briefed the meeting that significant improvements are being introduced in drainage and water supply systems across the city. They added that all projects are being implemented with strict adherence to quality and transparency standards, while work schedules are being closely monitored to ensure timely completion.
Addressing the meeting, DC Syed Musa Raza directed all relevant departments to further improve their progress reports before the next review meeting. He emphasized stronger interdepartmental coordination to accelerate the pace of development works.
He instructed NESPAK to maintain the highest construction standards, warning that no compromise on quality would be tolerated. “The development projects must be durable, sustainable, and focused on citizens’ convenience,” the DC said.
He reiterated that ensuring quality and transparency in every phase of Lahore’s development projects remains the top priority of the district administration.
