FAISALABAD, Oct 20 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nadeem Nasir has directed all departments to maintain strict vigilance over dengue breeding sites and ensure uninterrupted implementation of preventive measures, with special emphasis on indoor surveillance to eliminate any possibility of dengue larvae growth.
Presiding over a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee, the DC reviewed
the ongoing anti-dengue operations and emphasized that all potential breeding spots must be revisited regularly. He instructed that immediate chemical treatment should be carried out wherever larvae are detected.
He particularly urged surveillance teams to conduct routine inspections of high-risk locations such as tyre shops, junkyards, graveyards, nurseries, and other identified hotspots, ensuring there are no gaps in monitoring.
During the meeting, district officers briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the progress of anti-dengue measures and the field activities currently underway to prevent the spread of the dengue virus.
