SARGODHA, Oct 20 (APP):Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), Sargodha Commissionerate, impounded the sales tax records three food businesses due to non-compliance with the provisions of the Punjab Sales Tax on Services Act, 2012.
According to the PRA spokesperson here on Monday, these actions were taken following their continued failure to pay the due Punjab Sales Tax on Services and to comply with statutory requirements. The impounded records will be thoroughly scrutinized to assess actual sales volumes and determine the accurate tax liabilities.
The team impounded the sales tax records of the M/S Gloria Jean’s, Prime Castle Marriage Hall and Jhal Chakiyan Restaurant, Main Branch
PRA Commissioner stated that strict action will continue against other non-compliant businesses in the food and hospitality sector. “Records of such units may also be impounded and premises sealed as part of the ongoing enforcement drive to ensure compliance with the law”, he added.
He said that all service providers are advised to ensure timely registration, filing of returns, and payment of due taxes to avoid legal consequences.
