FAISALABAD, Oct 18 (APP):Various delegations from the educational and business sectors called on President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Farooq Yousaf Sheikh on Saturday to congratulate him on his election as the new head of the chamber.
A delegation led by Brigadier (retd) Muhammad Saleem, In-charge of NUML Faisalabad Campus, met the FCCI president and stressed the need to strengthen industry-academia linkages to align university education with industrial requirements.
He said closer cooperation between educational institutions and the business community was vital for developing a skilled and employment-oriented workforce.
The FCCI president appreciated NUML’s initiative and said both sides would soon finalise a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in curriculum development, practical training, and research. He also accepted an invitation to visit the NUML Faisalabad Campus.
Meanwhile, delegations from various trade and business associations, including the Private Schools Association, Pharmaceutical Association, Allied Anjuman Tajran Group, Dyes and Chemicals Association, Social Security representatives, and Tahafuz-e-Nazriya-e-Pakistan Group, also visited the FCCI to extend felicitations.
They presented floral bouquets to the newly elected FCCI office-bearers, who assured full cooperation in addressing traders’ issues and promoting industrial and commercial growth in Faisalabad.
