LAHORE, Oct 17 (APP): An anti-corruption court on Friday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of former provincial minister and PTI leader Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed’s three brothers till October 29 in a case related to the development of an illegal housing society on agricultural land.
During the hearing, presided over by Judge Muhammad Jamil, the accused — Mian Mustafa Rasheed, Mian Hamid Rasheed, and Mian Zia Rasheed — appeared before the court.
The court extended the interim bail of the accused till October 29 and directed them to join the investigation.
According to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab, the accused are charged with illegally converting agricultural land (Green Land) into residential land (Brown Land) and allegedly using the influence of their brother, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, to facilitate the process.
Investigators further stated that Mian Hamid Rasheed, who previously served as a Tehsildar and Assistant Commissioner, was involved in land fraud and the accumulation of illegal assets through misuse of authority.
