MULTAN, Oct 17 (APP):The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has started implementing the Electronic File and Office Automation System (eFOAS), marking an important step toward digital transformation within the organisation.
According to MDA official sources, all manual file work was being converted into a digital filing system to ensure faster, more transparent, and efficient operations. The process of scanning and digitizing files in the Administration, Town Planning, and Urban Planning Directorates was being carried out at a fast pace.
Director General MDA, Rashid Irshad Hussain, said that the implementation of eFOAS will improve service delivery to the public by streamlining workflows and ensuring transparency. He added that the new system will help maintain a secure and easily accessible record database, minimizing delays and manual errors.
To complete the digitization process quickly, employees have been assigned additional duties on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for file scanning work, he added.
The DG further stated that the launch of eFOAS was a major step forward that will move the organization toward a modern digital framework. Through this system, reporting, monitoring, and performance evaluation will become more efficient and effective.
This initiative reflects MDA’s commitment to innovation and improving public service delivery through the use of advanced technology.
