Punjab Maas intl theatre festival concludes at Alhamra

LAHORE, Oct 15 (APP): The Punjab Maas International Theatre Festival 2025 concluded at Alhamra after six days of vibrant performances, workshops, and discussions celebrating art and cultural exchange.
The festival, organized by the Punjab government in collaboration with MAAS Foundation and Lahore Arts Council, featured artists from Pakistan, France, Greece, China, Ireland, and Tunisia.
On the closing day, a panel discussion titled “Theatre, Film, and Storytelling” was held, moderated by Rabiya Hassan and featuring filmmaker Syed Noor and artist Uzma Asraf. The session explored the creative link between theatre and cinema.
The day also included performances by Punjab University’s group Natak, DramaEd Pakistan’s production “RED”, and a joint Tunisian-Pakistani play “Traces.” The Alhamra lawns hosted art and food stalls, creating a lively cultural atmosphere.
MAAS Foundation Founder Aamir Nawaz said the festival was a dream realized through collaboration and creativity. Executive Director Alhamra Mahboob Alam said the event reflected the language of peace and humanity that theatre represents.
The festival concluded with a message of unity, cultural harmony, and the belief that art can bridge differences and bring people together.
