LAHORE, Oct 15 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, on Wednesday approved 2.125 million rupees for the medical treatment of police employees and their families.
Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, said that Sub-Inspector Shafqat Ali has been granted Rs. 500,000 for medical treatment. Retired Inspector Ashfaq Ahmad has been provided Rs. 300,000 for cancer treatment, while Constable Nadeem Abbas has received Rs. 250,000 for the same. Similarly, ASI Khurram Shahzad has been given Rs. 200,000 for medical expenses, and Sub-Inspector Furqan Ahmad and Head Constable Muhammad Nadeem have each been provided Rs. 100,000.
The spokesperson further shared that the wife of Shaheed Constable Niaz Ahmad and Driver Constable Maqsood Ahmad have each been granted Rs. 100,000 for medical treatment. Additionally, a total of Rs. 475,000 has been released for the medical treatment of retired ASI Riyasat Ali, Driver Constable Muhammad Ashraf, Constable Aba Hussain, and Constable Muhammad Ashraf.
The IGP approved the disbursement of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Usman stated that Punjab Police are providing the best possible medical facilities to its employees through MOUs signed with various institutions.
