ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 15 criminals during a series of operations across the federal capital, recovering narcotics and illegal weapons to ensure safety of citizens’ lives and property.
An official told APP on Wednesday that police teams from Industrial Area, Shams Colony, Ramna, Bhara Kahu, and Shahzad Town Police Stations arrested 11 accused and recovered 225 grams of hashish, 225 grams of ice, seven pistols, and one rifle with ammunition from their possession.
He added that cases have been registered against the arrested men, and further investigations are underway. Additionally, during a special campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders, four more criminals were arrested, bringing the total to 15 lawbreakers in custody.
SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan said that Islamabad Police are continuously working to protect the lives and property of citizens.
“No one will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the city,” he said, stressing that the safety and security of citizens remain the top priority of the force.
