QUETTA, Oct 14 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has voiced strong dissatisfaction over the sluggish pace of the Chief Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program, directing immediate measures to accelerate its implementation and improve outcomes.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, CM Bugti was briefed on the program’s current status, recruitment efforts, and overseas placement of trained youth. The meeting was attended by Provincial Advisor for Labor and Manpower Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretaries of Labor and Finance, MD B-TEVTA Tariq Javed Mengal, representatives of the consulting firm, and other senior officials.
Expressing disappointment with the limited number of youth placed abroad and the overall slow progress, CM Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the strategic importance of the initiative.
“This project is vital for the future of Balochistan’s youth. Any delay is unacceptable,” he added, urging authorities to fast-track the recruitment process and expand international employment opportunities for trained individuals.
To improve the quality and transparency of recruitment and training, the government will onboard additional reputable national and international firms.
CM Sarfraz Bugti also pointed out the performance of B-TEVTA and existing consultants, instructing them to significantly enhance their efforts and deliver visible progress.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, CM Bugti highlighted the broader goals of the program: equipping young people with modern skills, boosting their confidence, and fostering economic independence.
