SARGODHA, Oct 14 (APP): The Department of Political Science at the University of Sargodha (UoS) successfully concluded a two-day Model United Nations (MUN) 2025 event, organized by the Political Science Academic Forum.
Held on a large scale for the first time, the event offered students a platform to engage with real-world international issues, refine their debate and negotiation skills, and gain insight into global policymaking processes. Delegates from various university departments actively participated, demonstrating strong diplomatic aptitude and confidence.
The MUN was organized in collaboration with the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) and was attended by prominent figures, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Shereen Gull, and other academic dignitaries.
Dr. Asiya Saif Alvi, Chairperson of the Department of Political Science, highlighted the value of such academic initiatives in promoting critical thinking, leadership, and a deeper understanding of global affairs. Vice Chancellor Dr. Qaisar Abbas praised the event for encouraging youth to engage in constructive international dialogue and develop leadership qualities.
The sessions were supervised by Dr. Sundas Khizer and Mr. Afzaal Ahmad, whose efforts and guidance contributed significantly to the event’s success.
The MUN 2025 served as an inspiring experience for students, motivating them to pursue diplomacy, dialogue, and global citizenship.
