CHINIOT, Oct 13 (APP):On the directions of DG Punjab Food Authority (PFA), the food safety teams on Monday imposed fine worth Rs 70,000 on various shopkeepers for violating hygiene rules.
The official source said the operation was continuing in the district under the mission of providing safe and healthy food to the people.
During the inspection of marriage halls at the beginning of the wedding season, heavy fines were imposed for poor sanitation, violations of hygiene rules, poor storage of food items in the kitchen, absence of medical certificates of workers and purchase records.
According to DG Food Authority Muhammad Asim Javed, protecting the health of the public was the top priority of the authority.
