QUETTA, Oct 12 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has hailed the inauguration of the province’s first-ever working women’s hostel in Khuzdar, describing it as a landmark step toward the empowerment of women in the region.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister praised Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, Adviser for Women Development, for spearheading the initiative. He called “it a practical and meaningful effort to support the sisters and daughters of Balochistan who are pursuing professional careers away from home”.

In his post, CM Bugti emphasized that the hostel is more than just a shelter—it is a source of confidence, dignity, and hope for working women.

“This is the very approach that marks the beginning of true women’s empowerment,” he added, reaffirming the government’s commitment to building an inclusive and supportive environment for women to contribute to Balochistan’s socio-economic development.

The hostel offers secure, affordable accommodation with essential amenities, addressing a long-standing need for safe housing—especially critical in a traditionally conservative region like Balochistan. It is expected to significantly boost women’s participation in the formal workforce.
